A Life-time resident of New York, Alicia Figueras was born to a proud Puerto Rican father and joyous mother from Curacao in 1957. A single mother, Alicia raised her beautiful daughter Ava... Alicia Figueras is a hero with government experience. Ms. Figueras served our country well for 10 years as a drug interdiction agent in foreign countries with the United States Army and National Security Agency (NSA).

The real recession is knowledge
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer
Though being a productive member of society is classified as
A man that works for his bread
If you’re not involved in the affairs of the community you
Become worthless instead,
Yes we have a black president
But if we don’t take action on a local level
It’s evident
Change won’t come
Well if it’s change we want, and the command is “Yes We Can”
If one hand link to the other
A mother to a father, a brother to a sister then the whole family is changed
And a neighbor to a neighbor to the other
The whole community arranged
And you extend this from communities to counties
And counties to cities, and cities to states
And states to the nation
Then we’ll experience true satisfaction
But it begins with one, step
